About Basong Tso:

Basong Cuo is also known as Cuo High lake, which means "green water" in Tibetan language. The lake is more than 3,700 meters above sea level and the surface area of the lake is more than 6,000 mu. It is located in the high gorge deep valley in the upper reaches of the Ba River, more than 50 kilometers away from Gongbujiangda County, Nyingchi District。Although Basongtso is hidden in a ravine with no traffic and far from the town, it is widely known for its lush forests and a pool of clear water among the towering mountains, making it one of the earliest known landscapes in Nyingchi Prefecture。 The Basongtso lake is crystal clear, with the surrounding snow mountains reflecting in it。Yellow ducks, sand gulls, white cranes and other birds quietly floating on the surface of the water, the lake is swimming fish like weaving shuttle, more peaceful。About 100 meters from the shore, there is a small island called Tashi Island, which is said to be a "hollow island", that is, the island is not connected to the bottom of the lake and floating on the lake。Although it is only a legend, it makes people feel amazing, and you may also try to stomp in some parts of the island to see if there is a feeling of hollow。 There is also a small and exquisite temple with an area of less than 200 square meters, called "Cuozong Gongba Temple", which was built in the Tubo Zampu period and is a Nyingma school temple with a history of more than 1,500 years。At the foot of a statue of Vajra, there are two natural pebbles with a concave round nest, which is said to be the hoof marks left by King Gesar's horses when he fought here。And elsewhere on this small island,There are also many magical legends covered with: the sword marks left by King Gesar's sword swing on the stone, the "letter tree" with naturally formed Tibetan letters on the leaves, the footprints left by Songzang dry cloth on the stone, the divine spring where Padmasambhava washes his face...All in all, people can not help but admire this island full of miracles。
